In a small boy's journey of fate, FACELESS was born. The boy lost all his family in a terrible fire, miraculously surviving but suffering extensive burns all over his body. He had to wrap himself in bandages and cover himself with a raincoat. His disfigured appearance due to the burns attracted ridicule and indifference from those around him, with no one willing to be his friend. The only companion he had was a small rabbit toy that survived the fire with him.
In order to be with the rabbit forever, he took out the rabbit's eyes and wore them in his eye sockets. However, by a stroke of luck, he obtained two mysterious masks, one symbolizing speed and the other symbolizing strength. Previously, without wearing masks, he was filled with fear, weakness, pain, loneliness, and despair. He had no fixed name or image, not remembered by anyone. When he put on the masks, he would embody the souls depicted on them, drawing strength from the masks.
He "can use the masks to defend justice, protect those he loves," and "he can also retaliate against all those who have insulted him!"
